အိန္ဒိယနိုင်ငံ အစိုးရအနေဖြင့် COVID-19 မျိုးဗီဇကွဲဗိုင်းရပ်စ်အသစ် အိုမီခရွန် (Omicron) ကူးစက်ခံရသောနိုင်ငံများမှ နိုင်ငံတကာလေကြောင်းလိုင်း ပျံသန်းမှုများအား ချက်ချင်းရပ်ဆိုင်းရန် နယူးဒေလီမြို့တော် ဝန်ကြီးချုပ် Arvind Kejriwal က နိုဝင်ဘာ ၃၀ ရက်၌ တိုက်တွန်းလိုက်ကြောင်း သိရသည်။

“နိုင်ငံများစွာက အိုမီခရွန် ကူးစက်မှုရှိတဲ့နိုင်ငံတွေကနေ လေကြောင်းခရီးဝင်ရောက်မှုတွေကို ရပ်တန့်ထားလိုက်ပြီ။ ကျွန်တော်တို့က ဘာလို့နှောင့်နှေးနေရတာလဲ။ ပထမလှိုင်းတုန်းကလည်း ကျွန်တော်တို့ ပြည်ပလေကြောင်းပျံသန်းမှုတွေကို ရပ်တန့်ဖို့နှောင့်နှေးခဲ့တယ်” ဟု ၎င်းက အရေးယူဆောင်ရွက်ရန် နှောင့်နှေးခြင်းအပေါ် အိန္ဒိယ အစိုးရကို ဆိုရှယ်မီဒီယာပေါ်၌ မေးခွန်းထုတ်ခဲ့သည်။

Delhi chief minister urges India’s immediate ban on flights from Omicron variant affected areas

NEW DELHI, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) — Chief Minister of the Indian capital city Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday urged the federal government of India to immediately ban international flights from countries affected by the new Omicron variant of COVID-19.
He questioned the Indian government over its delay in this regard in a post on social media, writing: “Many countries have stopped incoming flights from Omicron-affected countries. Why are we delaying? Even in the first wave, we had delayed stopping foreign flights.”
“Most of the foreign flights come to Delhi, Delhi is the most affected,” he noted and asked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to put the ban in place immediately.
On Monday, the World Health Organization (WHO) said the new variant poses a very high global risk and could have severe consequences where there are surges in cases with the newly found variant.
Kejriwal also shared a local news report that a returnee from South Africa tested positive for COVID-19 in the northern Chandigarh city, and two contacts of the case were found infected, with their samples to be sent for genome sequencing.
Over the weekend Kejriwal also wrote a letter to Modi, urging him to “immediately stop flights” from the Omicron-affected countries.
“Any delay in this regard may prove harmful if any affected person enters India,” he said in the letter.
Meanwhile, Kejriwal is scheduled to be at a meeting on Tuesday to review preparedness of hospitals in the capital New Delhi over threat of the Omicron variant.
Indian media reports said the Maharashtra state government has also decided to request the federal government to suspend flights from areas where the new variant has been reported. Enditem
