မက္ကဆီကိုနိုင်ငံ မက္ကဆီကိုစီးတီးမြို့၏ မြို့တော်ဝန် Claudia Sheinbaum က အမေရိကန်နိုင်ငံထဲဝင်ရောက်ရန် နောက်တွဲကုန်တင်ယာဉ်ဖြင့် ဆိုက်ရောက်လာခဲ့ကြသော အထောက်အထားမဲ့ ရွှေ့ပြောင်းနေထိုင်သူများ၏ အခွင့်အရေးများကို လေးစားရမည်ဟု ဒီဇင်ဘာ ၁၃ ရက်တွင် ကတိပြုပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။

 

အဆိုပါ နောက်တွဲယာဉ်ပေါ်၌ လိုက်ပါလာကြသူများသည် မက္ကဆီကိုနိုင်ငံ တောင်ပိုင်း Chiapas ပြည်နယ်မှ အောက်တိုဘာ ၂၃ ရက်က ထွက်ခွာလာကြသူများဖြစ်ပြီး ၎င်းတို့သည် တနင်္ဂနွေနေ့(ဒီဇင်ဘာ ၁၂ ရက်) ညနေပိုင်းတွင် ရဲတပ်ဖွဲ့နှင့် ကတောက်ကဆ ဖြစ်ပွားခဲ့ကြောင်း သိရသည်။

“ ဒါဟာ ဧည့်ဝတ်ကျေပွန်တဲ့မြို့တစ်မြို့(မက္ကဆီကိုစီးတီးမြို့)ဖြစ်တယ်ဆိုတာကို ကျွန်တော်တို့က ရွှေ့ပြောင်းနေထိုင်သူတွေကို အသေအချာ သဘောပေါက်သိရှိစေချင်ပါတယ် ၊ လူ့အခွင့်အရေးနဲ့ပတ်သတ်ပြီး ကျွန်တော်တို့အမြဲတမ်းပြုမူခဲ့သလိုပဲ ကျွန်တော်တို့ဘက်က လေးစားသမှုရှိပါတယ် ၊ ကျွန်တော်တို့ရဲ့ ရည်မှန်းချက်ပန်းတိုက်က အဲဒီရွှေ့ပြောင်းနေထိုင်သူတွေ ကျွန်တော်တို့မြို့ကို စနစ်တကျဖြတ်သန်းသွားကြဖို့ပါပဲ ၊ သူတို့တွေကို ကျွန်တော်တို့ က အကာအကွယ်ပေးရမှာပေါ့” ဟု Sheinbaum က ဆိုသည်။

အဆိုပါ နောက်တွဲယာဉ်ပေါ်တွင် ကလေးငယ်နှင့်လူငယ်လူရွယ် ၁၀၀ ကျော် အပါအဝင် လူပေါင်း ၃၀၀ ကျော် လိုက်ပါလာခဲ့ကြောင်း မြို့တော်ဝန်၏ ပြောကြားချက်အရ သိရသည်။

Mexico City to respect migrant rights: mayor

MEXICO CITY, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) — Mexico City Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum on Monday pledged to respect the rights of undocumented migrants who arrived in caravan late Sunday on their way to the United States.
Members of the caravan, which departed from the southern Mexican state of Chiapas on Oct. 23, clashed with police Sunday evening.
“We want to assure migrants that this is a hospitable city. We will respect, as we always do, human rights. Our goal is for their passage through the city to be orderly and for us to protect them,” Sheinbaum said.
The caravan is composed of about 300 people, including about 100 children and adolescents, according to the mayor.
After 50 days on the road, the migrants arrived in the city’s Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe to join pilgrims celebrating the virgin’s feast day on Dec. 12, but got into a skirmish with police officers who were blocking their entrance.
The migrants were eventually allowed access to the basilica and later spent the night at a shelter for pilgrims.
